Start of summer in the garden

The sun shines from 6am til 9pm, the birds and butterflies fill the bushes and trees, the washing dries in no time at all, we have to remember to put sunscreen and hats on but it will become a habit in a few weeks time, kids are swimming in the outdoor pool, and xmas beetles are everywhere....summer his here!!!

 Very happy guinea pigs...

a dance with the little one....
home grown carrots, they didn't look like this on the packet, they should be round balls, better luck next time...
Kids meet Santa at the xmas party

Pest control, green caterpillars uurrgh (thats not my hand!)

in the veggie beds potatoes and tomatoes, leeks, onion, broccoli.....

sweetcorn is 3 times that size already
having a go at growing cape gooseberries, they suffered in the heat even though the label said it can tolerate full sun, the plants are doing much better now they are shaded a bit....

The front garden almost completed here, it has had its final load of soil and mulched since and is growing madly!!

grapevine trained and doing well this year

Xmas festivities under way and things are growing fast in the garden, hoping to get most of our xmas day dinner from the garden (apart from the prawns that is )!!!
