Warm May weekend in the garden

Luckily all the rain fell during the week, wet school runs are not ideal but kids love the puddles so fun for them.   Glad of the rain clearing for a bright sunny Saturday & Sunday, and we certainly made the most of it..... above, the sun catching the dog wood in its Autumn show..
/veggie bed #2 under construction, smaller than the first, but hoping it will be just as productive....
Can you see the lemons and oranges ripening on the trees?
 Conifers.....................
Conifers GONE!!! at last the space cleared for more productive shrubs on the front garden...

Pumpkins are ready...

A big fat ripe pumpkin and plenty more to follow......also in the garden this weekend we noticed butternuts are ripening, the pumpkin vines are still growing new pumpkins but we don't think that they will ripen as we start getting less hours of sun, great citrus trees have mandarin's and lemons ripening ready for eating soon, grapefruits and orange's fattening for later in the season.

George's battle.

Chilling in the tree..

Came across Gracie who had made this 'hammock' in the tree and she was chilling out, not a care in the world - oh to be an 8 year old again....

Chocolate tart!

'' I'm going to make a chocolate tart today'', said Dave, and he kept his word and here it is..................

Yes it was as delicious as it looks!
